As a designer Brit’s passion lies in responding to the world around her by creating innovative solutions that find a balance between object and experience. Design is more than just products, but a way of creatively thinking about a given problem.

Brit grew up in California and later graduated with a BFA in Industrial Design, from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). After graduating she has had the opportunity to continue her career in design by working with companies such as Aid to Artisans, Samsonite & Timberland.

Currently Brit is the head bag designer for Jack Spade in New York City. There she gets to continue her passion for making products that represent both honest and thoughtful design with a practical purpose.

On the side, she contributes as a travel writer for Wejetset and is one of four founding members at Grain Design. Under their umbrella, she works as a sustainable design consultant. In addition, Brit manages AVO, a new travel guide that helps you to discover the world through street markets.

Brit’s process is one of exploration, believing that the journey leads to the most valuable insight in the design process.
